R&B star Alicia Keys is set to hit the world on a a big tour is support of her new album Girl on Fire, released in November. Rising star Miguel will open the entire tour.
She'll perform at the Greensboro Coliseum on Saturday, March 30. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 18, via Ticketmaster.

Alicia Keys coming to Raleigh for early vote event
Grammy winning R&B artist Alicia Keys will be stopping in the Triangle today, Friday, October 25, to appear at an Early Vote Rally for Barack Obama.
Things will get started at 4 p.m. at the Chavis Park baseball field at 505 Martin Luther King Boulevard in Raleigh. It's unclear whether she'll perform or not. The official event announcement says that there will be "remarks from Alicia Keys."

Katy Perry's California Gurls isn't going anywhere it seems, remaining at top spot, apparently shifting another 300, 000 plus copies and almost hitting double platinum status with total sales standing at 1,808,000 while getting the Airplay Gainer title. Ke$ha falls one spot again this week to #6 with Your Love Is My Drug, while Lady Gaga also drops, down two spots to #7. Jason DeRulo's creeping up the charts with Ridin' Solo sittin' proudly at #16. Alicia Keys sits nicely at #21 with Un-Thinkable (I'm Ready) and it's also a new peak for the song. Right before the release week of Miley Cyrus' hyped-up new album Can't Be Tamed, the title track, which also serves as the lead single, moves up back to #22. Also steadily climbing up the charts is Justin Bieber with his latest single Somebody To Love hitting #33 this week. Shakira's FIFA World Cup theme song Waka Waka (This Time For Africa) is surprisingly making itself out to be a hit, battling its way up to #38 after debuting at #43 last week. Colbie Caillat's I Never Told You is slowly inching its way up the charts again as it moves up to #60 this week. P!nk's Glitter In The Air is also making its way up, moving up to #76. Lady Antebellum's Our Kind Of Love finds its way back to #94.
As we all know by now, Canadian rapper Drake's new album is a huge commercial success, and it's one of the biggest opening numbers for an album this year so far, debuting at #1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The soundtrack to The Twilight Saga: Eclipse slips to #6, trailed behind by Justin Bieber's My World 2.0 and Lady Antebellum's Need You Now at #6 and #7 repectively. Miranda Cosgrove and Adam Lambert's debut albums Sparks Fly and For Your Entertainment repectively are holding up at #109 and #110 respectively. Charice's self-titled international debut seems to slipping as well, falling yet again to #173. Sitting rather unsteadily right at the bottom, the Hannah Montana: The Movie soundtrack dips to #200 although it's been released for quite awhile now.

Jason DeRulo's latest single Ridin' Solo hits its peak at #19, trailed behind by previous single In My Head. Alicia Keys' latest single also makes a move up to #22, along with Carrie Underwood's Undo It, rising to its current peak at #23 while Miley Cyrus' Can't Be Tamed falls 2 spots to #24. Justin Bieber's contribution to The Karate Kid soundtrack featuring star Jaden Smith comes in the form of Never Say Never, which debuts at #33. The 2010 FIFA World Cup's Waka Waka (This Time For Africa) performed by Latin artist Shakira debuts at #44. Usually on album release weeks, the lead single from the album will start picking up digital downloads, but Christina Aguilera's latest studio album Bionic has picked up a higher charting single on the Hot 100 compared to its second single WooHoo featuring female rapper Nicki Minaj, Bionic the title track makes a debut at #66. But it isn't all hopeless for Bionic's lead single Not Myself Tonight, it re-enters at #75, hopefully it starts to go up again now while second single WooHoo re-enters the Hot 100 at #99. Beautiful Monster, Ne-Yo's latest single, also the lead single from his upcoming album debuts at #67. I'm not sure why it's started to go up again, but P!nk's Glitter In The Air is rising the charts again, moving up to #86 this week.

Usher collects another #1 on the Hot 100, this week with OMG, a song he performed recently on American Idol, but leaped to #1 up from #6 thanks to airplay. Ke$ha stays strong and at its peak of #8 with Your Love Is My Drug. Lady Gaga's Alejandro moves up to #16 and expect it to move up again thanks to an American Idol performance. Timbaland is creeping up the charts as well with the help of Katy Perry, who's If We Ever Meet Again rises and peaks to #37 this week. Two divas see a rise in their latest singles as R&B songstress Alicia Keys' Un-Thinkable (I'm Ready) and Christina Aguilera's Not Myself Tonight moves up to #44 and #46 respectively. Miranda Cosgrove's single Kissin' U flies up the chart to #54 up from #95. Thanks to promotional performances on American Idol, Rock That Body by the Black Eyed Peas and Shakira's Gypsy debut at #62 and #65 respectively. Colbie Caillat's I Never Told You is making its way up the Hot 100 as well, rising to #68 this week. Kelly Clarkson's remains in the bottom-tier of the Hot 100 with her current single All I Ever Wanted, which is unsurprising since Clarkson has been on the road for her All I Ever Wanted and is probably too busy to do any promotion or a music video.

B.o.B. tops the Hot 100 with Nothin' On You for the second consecutive week and Rihanna's Rude Boy is entrenched at #2. Ke$ha's Your Love Is My Drug continues its rise as it moves up one rung to hit a new peak of #8 while Lady Gaga's Alejandro rounds out the Top 20. Unsurprisingly, Justin Bieber's collaboration with Sean Kingston on Eenie Meanie moves up the charts yet again, sitting just outside the Top 25 at #26. Expect the song to rise further thanks to the release of the music video just recently. Timbaland's If We Ever Meet Again featuring Katy Perry has already hit the Top 10 in the UK and is rising in the US as the track peaks at #47 this week while Christina Aguilera's new single Not Myself Tonight slips to #49. Lady Gaga's Alejandro is probably going to be another hit, judging by the world's obsession with Gaga right now. Alejandro reaches a new peak of #50 this week up from #72. iCarly star Miranda Cosgrove's debut single Kissin' U arrives on the Hot 100 at #87. Colbie Caillat's second single I Never Told You from sophomore album Breakthrough rises to #89, while Un-Thinkable (I'm Ready), Alicia Keys' new single makes a debut at #88.
