Miley Cyrus - Forgiveness And Love live @ AMAs 2010

No matter how cliched or dramatic a song is, teen Queen Miley Cyrus always knows how to sell it with her vulnerability and believability. This performance wasn't any different. Despite what's going on surrounding her parents' divorce, Cyrus took to the stage to perform Forgiveness And Love, a ballad that has shades of country in it which always works in Cyrus' favour. However, I think, she could've done better if she performed Stay, which if you study the lyrics, applies more to Miley than ever. Still, it was a great performance.

Miley Cyrus - Who Owns My Heart live @ Wetten Dass...?

Teen pop star Miley Cyrus has finally embarked on her European promo tour for latest single Who Owns My Heart, the second International single lifted from her third studio album Can't Be Tamed. Cyrus headed to German TV show Wetten Dass...? to perform Who Owns My Heart and while it wasn't a strong vocal performance, I think Cyrus pulled it off for the most part. And I love how the audience was happily clapping along in the beginning when there was hardly a beat but the clapping faded away when the beat-heavy chorus kicked in.

Lil Wayne's I Am Not A Human Being hits the top of the Billboard 200 Albums Chart this week, reigning at #1. Selena Gomez & the Scene's A Year Without Rain drops to #14 while Katy Perry's sophomore pop album Teenage Dream drops to #16. Sara Bareilles sophomore album Kaleidoscope Heart remains entrenched at #49 on the chart. After dropping off the chart, Miley Cyrus' third pop album Can't Be Tamed re-enters at #195 this week.

Miley Cyrus - Who Owns My Heart [Music Video Premiere]

After all the this-could-be-a-single-no-wait-that-will-be-a-single mess that has plagued Miley Cyrus' latest album Can't Be Tamed, I just lost all interest and just patiently waited. Then there was news of Cyrus releasing Every Rose Has Its Thorn as the second single in the States (bad move) while Who Owns My Heart will be the next international single. Well, sure took her long enough. The music video for Who Owns My Heart has finally arrived and it has that Europop sound currently dominating airwaves, charts, whatever that I just can't wrap my head round why in the world Hollywood Records didn't want to release this in the States. But then again, you never know, they're messing up promotion with Can't Be Tamed anyway.

But hopefully, this is a fresh start. Cyrus is sticking with the skank image (though I don't like her hair here) and it's obvious she wants to rid every bit of that Disney image, therefore annihilating more of her core fanbase.

Someone give this girl some advice, please.

Big News: Miley Cyrus selects new European single!

Miley Cyrus was supposed to release Two More Lonely People as the next single off the poorly-selling third album Can't Be Tamed but it turns out plans have changed for Europe. Two More Lonely People is will continue to serve as the album's second US single. Now, Cyrus is supposedly going to release Who Owns My Heart in Europe, even going as far as shooting the video for the single this weekend.

Hollywood Records, home to many Disney stars such as Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, Ashley Tisdale etc., has chosen Disney's teen queen Miley Cyrus' new single from her third studio album Can't Be Tamed. Apparently, they are sticking with the safe route, selecting Two More Lonely People as the next single. What a pity. Her transition and Can't Be Tamed sassiness could've been stronger with the release of Robot, by far one of the best album tracks. I mean, even if they were going to choose a safe ballad, why not the amazing Stay or Take Me Along? Still, Two More Lonely People will be released next month.

Miley Cyrus' latest album Can't Be Tamed debuts at #3, selling a meagre 102, 000 copies in its first week. (Anyone remember the disappointing album sales of Christina Aguilera's Bionic and she's been trying hard to keep afloat? Careful, Miley). Speaking of Bionic, which has been on the chart for a third week now, it hasn't just slipped out of the Top 10, it's slipped out of the Top 20 altogether, holding unsteadily at #22. Round And Round, Selena Gomez & The Scene's lead single from their upcoming sophomore album might not be available on their debut album, but it seems Kiss & Tell is seeing the effects of Round And Round hitting #118 up from #152 the previous week. After I feared that Charice's debut international album Charice would fall of the charts this week after slipping all the way to #173 last week, she has rebounded back at #139 this week. After Katy Perry's domination on the Hot 100, it's not surprising her debut album has found its way back in the chart, re-entering at #175.

Miley Cyrus - Can't Be Tamed (Album Review)

Miley Cyrus' Can't Be Tamed is supposed to be the album to declare that she's no longer that girl we saw on Hannah Montana years ago. Sadly, the album, Can't Be Tamed doesn't do that. Cyrus messes with autotune, drum beats, plus a cover of Bret Michaels' Every Rose Has Its Thorn with the man himself doing some background background vocals. However, even though the voice on the record is Cyrus', it feels like she's not paying much attention to what she's singing. She always sounds distant, never heartfelt. She only sounds like she's actually listening on the album's standout track, Stay. The ballad's all mushy about love, but what did you expect? Sex? Well, I'm glad Cyrus hasn't strayed too far from her Disney roots, since Can't Be Tamed is still without a doubt a Disney album. Can't Be Tamed is a little generic, and it doesn't live up to its album title. If you were expecting big heavy dance tracks or a bratty Miley, prepare to be disappointed. Or if you were expecting Can't Be Tamed to be a FANTASTIC album, I'm afraid you'll have to wait for her next album where she'll probably be talking more or less about the same thing about how she's outgrowing Disney... Nevertheless Can't Be Tamed doesn't deliver the kick it should.

Alicia Keys sits nicely at #21 with Un-Thinkable (I'm Ready) and it's also a new peak for the song. Right before the release week of Miley Cyrus' hyped-up new album Can't Be Tamed, the title track, which also serves as the lead single, moves up back to #22. Also steadily climbing up the charts is Justin Bieber with his latest single Somebody To Love hitting #33 this week. Shakira's FIFA World Cup theme song Waka Waka (This Time For Africa) is surprisingly making itself out to be a hit, battling its way up to #38 after debuting at #43 last week. Colbie Caillat's I Never Told You is slowly inching its way up the charts again as it moves up to #60 this week. P!nk's Glitter In The Air is also making its way up, moving up to #76. Lady Antebellum's Our Kind Of Love finds its way back to #94.

As we all know by now, Canadian rapper Drake's new album is a huge commercial success, and it's one of the biggest opening numbers for an album this year so far, debuting at #1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The soundtrack to The Twilight Saga: Eclipse slips to #6, trailed behind by Justin Bieber's My World 2.0 and Lady Antebellum's Need You Now at #6 and #7 repectively. Miranda Cosgrove and Adam Lambert's debut albums Sparks Fly and For Your Entertainment repectively are holding up at #109 and #110 respectively. Charice's self-titled international debut seems to slipping as well, falling yet again to #173. Sitting rather unsteadily right at the bottom, the Hannah Montana: The Movie soundtrack dips to #200 although it's been released for quite awhile now.

Miley Cyrus - Can't Be Tamed

Disney teen sensation Miley Cyrus is making the transition from teen star to adult star, done previously by fellow Disney act Hilary Duff with her album Dignity. Getting rid of the teen audience is always difficult because that's the audience they have always been geared toward, and who make up a big bulk of their fanbase. Cyrus herself has been testing the waters, performing a risque version of Party In The USA, faux-kissing a girl (twice), among others. Of course, Can't Be Tamed won't sell as much as her previous efforts (obviously), but if the lead single of the same name is of any indication, she might have some success with this album. Enjoy!

Beautiful Monster, Ne-Yo's latest single, also the lead single from his upcoming album debuts at #67. I'm not sure why it's started to go up again, but P!nk's Glitter In The Air is rising the charts again, moving up to #86 this week.

Miley Cyrus' Can't Be Tamed falls 10 places to #18 this week, but with more promotion, I'm sure Cyrus' single will start climbing again. Lee DeWyze's coronation single Beautiful Day, a cover of the U2 classic, lands him at #24, noticeably much lower compared to last season's winner Kris Allen with his coronation song No Boundaries which peaked at #11 last year.
