The Love Language to play Chapel Hill tonight

Chapel Hill institution The Cave is getting new owners (the folks at Slim's) this week and the club is being rechristened with a big show tonight, October 1.

Things will get started at 9 p.m. with Old Bricks followed by a set by local superstars The Love Language. Admission will be $7 and there are no advance tickets. You'll want to get their early if you want to get

The Love Language announces fall dates, big Raleigh show

As of yet, there's still no word on when The Love Language's long awaited third album will be out, but following the band's big day party during the Hopscotch Music Festival, the band have announced another big Raleigh show.

Stu McLamb and his accomplices will play the Lincoln Theatre on Friday, November 9. Gross Ghost and The Toddlers will open. Tickets are on sale

During the day on Friday, Hopscotch threw a big day party bash in front of the Contemporary Art Museum (CAM) in Raleigh headlined by The Love Language.

The band played a bunch of new material, presumably from their forthcoming album, as well as some classics with a new lineup that featured Ryan Gustafson on guitar, original drummer Tomas Simpson, and Mark Simonsen

Hopscotch announces 2012 day parties

The details of the free day parties for the 2012 Hopscotch Music Festival were announced today. There are about 30 day parties in all, more than any previous year, featuring some of the area's biggest bands.

There will be five big official parties, two on Friday, September 7, and three on Saturday, September 8. Here's how those parties break down.

The new album from The Love Language may not be coming out until next year, but the band recently recorded a few new covers for Aquarium Drunkard's Lagniappe Sessions.

TRKfest 2012 lineup announced, Des Ark, Hammer & more

It wouldn't be summer in the Triangle without Trekky Records' big annual party, TRKfest. Weather permitting, this year's festival will return to Piedmont Biofuels in Pittsboro on Saturday, July 21 (last year's event was moved to the Haw River Ballroom due to rain).

Video: The Love Language debuts "Faithbreaker" at Gravity Records

Stu McLamb of The Love Language spent Record Store Day at Gravity Records in Wilmington playing a set as a trio with Jordan McLamb and Justin Rodermond.

Video: The Love Language plays new songs on tour

The Love Language have been hard at work on their third album and have been playing some fantastic sounding new tunes on tour.
