Superchunk plays deep cuts, classics at the Cradle

Superchunk releases new single, playing Carrboro

Superchunk just released their new single, "This Summer," last week and the band have a few festival appearances scheduled this year as well as a big hometown show next month.

The band will hit the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro on Thursday, July 12. Gross Ghost will open. Tickets are on sale now via Etix for $15.

Superchunk releasing new single 'This Summer'

To celebrate the summer and to help bridge the gap between 2010's Majesty Shredding and Superchunk's next album, the band will release a new 7-inch single this summer with, as luck would have it, a summer theme.

The single is "This Summer" and will feature the b-side "Cruel Summer," a Bananarama cover. It will be released on June 12 via Merge Records of course. It will be a limited run of 1,300
